Have you ever
wondered why you
have been put on
this earth?
Isn’t it a bit
disturbing to
just think about
it?
Over the
centuries many
schools of
thought have
elaborated their
own theories on
this matter. As
human beings, we
are very clever
at choosing what
suits us best!
After
all, aren’t we
free to
determine our
destiny?
You might
think so...
What is our
real purpose in
this world?
Of
course, we all
have our own
views. Humans,
in their essence
have never
changed other
than in their
knowledge—which
is increasing at
almost an
alarming rate—if
compared to
their wisdom!
In our
materialistic
society, it
seems that
HAVING is far
more important
than BEING!
Naturally, we
all want to have
beautiful things
and be happy,
there is nothing
wrong with that.
MY CONCERN is
who or what we
serve in our
daily lives.
Depending on
your persuasion,
of course, the
answers will
differ.
The birth of
Jesus Christ on
this earth is a
historical fact
that cannot be
debated. The
REASON for His
coming is what
causes so many
people to
differ.
He has left us
His Word—the
Bible. To doubt
its veracity
puts one’s soul
at risk because
it is divinely
inspired. In it,
we discover
who God is,
what He
wants to do for
each of us, (His
creation), and
WHOM WE SHOULD
LIVE FOR.
We as humans
were born with a
sinful nature
that separates
us from our
Creator and that
also causes our
bodies to die.
As Christ came
to redeem us, He
had to separate
Himself from his
Father’s
presence and
glory. That
alone was a true
sacrifice!
He took upon
Himself the sins
of the world so
that we can be
forgiven,
justified and
made righteous.
To be crucified
is the most
horrendous and
agonizing death
one could to be
subjected to.
His unfathomable
love and grace
give each of us
the marvellous
opportunity to
be forgiven and
then go live to
in His presence
and glory --
after our
earthly bodies
die. It is a
free gift that
needs to be
received.
Why choose to
live and strive
for short-term
gain, for
material goods
and for a
totally corrupt
world that has
nothing else to
offer but untold
suffering?
The
length of our
earthly
materialistic
lives doesn’t
justify an
eternity without
our awesome
Creator. This
life will end
and then we must
face eternity.
We must all
individually
choose where we
will spend
eternity.
Hell exists,
but Christ has
never desired to
see any of us go
there. His
perfect
sacrifice is
sufficient to
deliver us from
Satan and his
dominion over
our lives as
well as to
transfer us into
his glorious
Kingdom.
As you
SURRENDER your
ENTIRE life to
the Saviour,
Jesus Christ—to
live in His
FREEDOM, you
receive His
Spirit in your
heart and you
can then enjoy
the most
wonderful Friend
and Companion on
earth and in
heaven that you
could ever dream
of.
Our life span
is very short.
None of us has a
guarantee to
live tomorrow.
Our nations as
we have known
them thus far
are going to end
in the most
unimaginable,
horrible seven
years of
tribulation and
judgment the
world has ever
known since its
foundation.
Before all that
happens, Jesus
will come in the
clouds to take
his bride—those
who have
received his
forgiveness, and
take her home
with Him!
Wouldn’t you
want to escape
what is coming
and take refuge
in Christ?
[Jesus said,]
“For then there
will be great
tribulation,
such as has not
been since the
beginning of the
world until this
time, no, nor
ever shall be.
And
unless those
days were
shortened, no
flesh would be
saved; but for
the elect’s sake
those days will
be shortened”
(Matthew 24:
21-22).
To refuse Jesus
and his
companionship in
his eternal
abode of love
and well-being
where no
suffering will
be remembered,
is to me the
most foolish act
a human being
can commit.
Choose who you
want to live
for: Yourself
and Satan, the
devil—or Christ!
“For the message
of the cross is
foolishness to
those who are
perishing, but
to us who are
being saved it
is the power of
God” (1
Corinthians
1:18).
