Today and forward, I would like to present my articles (Actually they are the Lords!) in a manner like those of the Tent Revival Days. I am pursuing this direction because somewhere in my Head or maybe it's my Heart, the Lord is telling me this is something good. It is something that has been lacking for far too long in this country and I believe it is the reason so many have turned their backs on the Scriptures and Jesus Christ in particular. This country needs the Heart-felt sermons, the “Hell-Fire and Damnation” sermons, as they were presented back in the day, SIN especially needs to be called out and uncovered as the only reason people will never see Heaven. It needs to be seen and understood for what it is and the only place for that, takes place in the Word of God! I will be my endeavor to bring that “Old Sense of Urgency” for Jesus Christ, back into the Pulpit where it belongs, where it should always be! God inspired, God centered, Love with an equal amount of how “Just God is”!
“Brothers and Sisters in Christ, we have been together and have been studying SIN! If there is any doubt, in anyone tonight, that SIN is not the cause of man's down fall, then let me put you on the inside track....YOUR WRONG!! (BOOM!!, he slams the Pulpit, makes everyone jump!) SIN....our SIN, is the reason for everything being the way it is today! I sometimes hear someone ask, “Is all this violence and fighting really necessary? Is all this Drinking and Carousing around at night necessary? Why are there so many people doing these things? What has happened to our People, Our Country?” Well let me be the first to tell you...IT”S SIN...IT”S WRONG!! (BOOM!!, he slams the Pulpit, makes everyone jump!)” The pastor pauses for few seconds, wipes the sweat from his face, takes a drink of water and then takes a few steps around the pulpit. “I walk these streets, just like you do and I visit the stores for whatever reason, just like you do and I see for myself, what is truly taking place around us everyday. I see the sad faces, the I-don't-care-no-more faces, 'n I see the faces of those on the other end of the stick, wondering why they are being treated thus way. YOU MIGHT AS WELL SLAP THEM ACROSS THE FACE!! (BOOM!!, he slams the Pulpit, makes everyone jump!) Then to stand there acting like you don't care, I truly think, you don't care anymore! And why is that?! ARE YOU LISTENING, ARE YOU PAYING ANY ATTENTION?!! Your dismayed, your upset, your disappointed, you feel left out, out of sorts and there ain't no Alka Seltzer that's gona fix it either! You feel the way you do...because of SIN!! Sin...in your life...SIN...in your Day!! And if you don't get yourself to the Lord God Almighty....if you don't ask for HIS Forgiveness...someday...YOU WILL DIE IN YOUR SIN....YOU WILL EXIST IN HELL...BECAUSE OF YOUR SIN!! (BOOM!!, he slams the Pulpit, makes everyone jump!) What part of the Scriptures, do you NOT understand?! What part of the Scriptures tells you...you can do whatever you want to do?! What part of Noah and the People of his days do you not understand?! What part of Sodom and Gomorrah do you NOT understand?! What part of the Bible says SIN is alright?! NONE OF IT!! AND GOD SAID SO!! (BOOM!!, he slams the Pulpit, makes everyone jump!) Brothers and sisters....IF you think satan doesn't exist....take a look at those faces...listen to what they talk about...hear the lies...hear the dishonesty...and you will have looked satan in the face!!” He pauses as if to let that sink in a little, dabs his face and drinks some water. “Those are the faces found in HELL!! And why are they the faces in Hell, you might be asking? Because those are the faces of SIN!! SIN will never see the likes of Heaven and neither will those faces!!” Another pause and water. “HELL is the place meant for SIN...FOR ALL THE FACES THAT WILL NOT...ASK THE LORD GOD FOR FORGIVENESS...OF THEIR SIN!!”(BOOM!!, he slams the Pulpit, makes everyone jump!) If I'm getting through here, can I get an AMEN?” And then there would a resounding AMEN from the crowd! “Now...I know there are some here because they follow Jesus Christ...because they want to hear the Word of God! There are some here tonight, that just want to know what all the...Whoopla...is all about! Then again...maybe your here because the Lord God is calling you...telling your heart...YOU NEED HIM (Boom!!)!! If that is the case...THEN YOU BEST ANSWER HIM BEFORE YOU END UP IN HELL FOR ETERNITY!! (BOOM!!, he slams the Pulpit, makes everyone jump!) Some how...some where...you got it in your head that you are all good and that, that is enough...YOUR WRONG!! God is no respecter of anyone, because all of us are tainted with SIN...that's right SIN!! AND IT WILL BE THIS SIN THAT SENDS YOU STRAIGHT TO HELL FOR ETERNITY!! I didn't say this....God Almighty said it in HIS Perfect Word...the BIBLE!! So...go ahead on...live your life however you wish ta...go ahead on and be belligerent to the Lord... scoff at HIM and HIS Word the Bible...turn down HIS free offer of Salvation...go ahead on and turn your back on HIM...AND SEE WHERE YA END UP AT...HELL!! AND YOU WILL STAY THERE FOREVER AND EVER....WITHOUT END...WITHOUT HOPE!! (BOOM!!, he slams the Pulpit, makes everyone jump!) Can I get an Amen?!” Finally the South Texas sun has gone down and it's a little cooler, but you wouldn't be able to know that, by all the Pastors sweat. “Brothers and Sisters...if there is one thing...one single most upsetting thing...lacking in hell...it's HOPE! Now...for a moment, I want you to think on this! All of us have said at one time or the other...”I shore HOPE...we get some rain taday!” For all the crops and livestock, rain is always a good thang! Or....you might say “I Shore hope ma kids grow up strong and healthy!” And many of ya give up a meal now and then to make sure they do, right?? Or maybe it's a new dress or suit...it could be a new tractor...whatever! Some where...in your Heart...you KNOW what HOPE is and you know that we need HOPE! Without HOPE...THERE IS NOTHING TO LOOK FORWARD TO!! (BOOM!!, he slams the Pulpit, makes everyone jump!) And that is exactly what's missing...HOPE...in HELL...is going to be like nothing you could ever imagine!! NOTHING to look forward to!! HOW SAD!!! So...why are you waiting?! WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR....ARE YOU SHORE...YOU GONA SEE TOMORROW?! MIDNIGHT TONIGHT?!?! WHO...TOLD YOU THAT LIE!! SATAN DID...HE'S THE FATHER OF LIES AND FLIES!! THE GREAT DECIEVER...THE FATHER OF ALL SIN!! WHY...DO YOU LITEN TO HIM??? GET ON YOUR KNEES AND COME TO JESUS CHRIST....RIGHT...NOW!!” (BOOM!!, he slams the Pulpit, makes everyone jump!) Let's take a moment for prayer and right after we will have the call to Alter of God. “My Lord and Savior, my Father in Heaven...we come to you in all humbleness...asking you to touch a heart for you tonight. Let them know, beyond shadow of doubt...that you are here for them...waiting for them to take the very first step Father. The single most important step ever in their life, the one decision that we know will save them from the fires of Hell...and bring them safely into your loving arms Father. We ask this in Jesus name and for your Honor and Glory Father....Amen. If there is anyone that would like to Come to the Lord this evening and give their lives and soul and Spirit to the Lord, I ask you to step forward! This is not to embarrass you, all of us have done the same thing, all of us are sinners, before a True and Just Lord, this is just a way for us to show all, that the Lord, is going to be Our Lord forever!”
